925 Sterling Silver
Our sterling silver pieces contain 92.5% pure silver, blended with other metals for strength. Sterling silver can naturally tarnish over time, especially with exposure to moisture, air and chemicals.
- Polish gently with a soft silver jewelry cloth, following any plating-specific care instructions.
- Store clean and dry; keep pieces separate to help prevent scratches.
- Avoid swimming pools, salt water, perfume, lotions and household cleaners.
Rhodium-Plated Jewelry
Many of our silver pieces feature rhodium plating for a bright, polished finish. Although rhodium plating helps resist tarnish, it can gradually wear with friction and regular use. Avoid abrasive polishing products or harsh chemical cleaners.
Gold-Plated Jewelry
Our gold-plated pieces have a layer of gold over a base metal, which varies by design. Put jewelry on after applying perfume or lotion. Remove before showering, swimming and exercise; gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store separately. The lifespan of plating depends on wear and care.
Moissanite and Cubic Zirconia
Maintain their sparkle by wiping away dust, fingerprints and skin oils with a soft cloth. Some pieces can be cleaned occasionally using mild soap and lukewarm water, but always consider the metal, setting and finish first. Avoid abrasive or ultrasonic cleaning unless suitable for that exact piece.
Pearls and Faux Pearls
Use a gentle touch: avoid soaking, perfume, hairspray and harsh cleaning agents. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wear and never use abrasive polishing products directly on the pearl surface.
Opal and Delicate Stones
Avoid prolonged water exposure, sudden temperature changes, ultrasonic cleaners, abrasive surfaces and harsh chemicals. Wipe gently and store separately.
Stainless Steel Jewelry
Selected Avelune designs feature stainless steel for its durability and corrosion resistance. If exposed to moisture, salt water or cleaning chemicals, rinse when appropriate and dry thoroughly. Plated stainless steel still needs gentle care to preserve its finish.
